Upper Buena Vista was built around centenary trees that were preserved during development. One of the trees known as the bodhi ‘wishtree’, a 130 year-old banyan, was identified as possessing special magnetic and spiritual values. The bodhi ‘wishtree’ serves as the centerpiece of the sanctuary, providing natural shade, shelter and transmitting positive energy to its visitors. An ancestral asian tradition suggests writing your wish on a ribbon and tying it to the tree for eternal blessings. Guests are invited to receive a ribbon at Sun and Ritual in exchange for a small donation. One wish = one dollar = one tree planted. Donations from the ribbon ceremony are distributed to our non profit partner one tree planted foundation to support reforestation and preservation of nature in north america, latin america, asia and africa.
